BAD WEATHER?

Miami has an unpredictable tropical climate, meaning it is very hot with sudden sporadic Bursts of rain now and then, which rarely last more than 20-30min

Charters very rarely get canceled due to bad weather, only when it’s Deemed unsafe by the captain will a rescheduling option be provided.

Owners are happy to work out a rescheduling if the weather seems aggressive or are given prior notice.

Rain doesn’t constitute a reason for cancellation due to Miami’s Tropical climate.

Yachting With Christos is a Yacht Charter Brokerage (Yacht Rental) that helps Connect our Collaborating Yacht Owners to Clients seeking a Fun Day on the Water.

Our goal is to provide the Best Experience possible along with an easy and smooth transition from Book to Board.

Keep in mind that in the Boating industry, various rare Circumstances that are out of our control do occur, such as Vessel Delays, Mechanical Issues, and Miscommunications. etc

In those instances, we understand it can be frustrating and the need to Vent your frustrations onto the Broker is a primal response, but at that point, we ask for Restraint on your part, along with Calm Compliance for us to resolve the situation and find a solution for you as quick as possible.

Ultimately we are all, as a collective, Striving for the same outcome.

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR YOU, OUR CLIENTS

WHAT IS A BAREBOAT CHARTER AGREEMENT?

Bareboat Charter — an agreement between a shipowner and a charterer (an individual or company chartering a vessel) that essentially gives the charterer complete responsibility for the vessel and its operation over the course of the charter.

Once the vessel is locked in with a deposit, the bareboat charter Agreement will be either emailed over by the Management team of the selected Vessel or provided in a paper form to be signed upon boarding.

CANCELLATION POLICY?

“We understand that life can sometimes get in the way and that’s why at ‘Yachting with Christos’ we always strive to accommodate our Clients and our Collaborating Vessel Owners in the best way we can in an event of a cancellation, our main priority is to make sure our client’s board, have an Amazing time and return once more.”

Once a deposit is made, the chosen vessel’s time slot is blacked out and reserved.

In the event of severe weather conditions (Named tropical storm or hurricane), ‘Yachting with Christos’ will first make every effort to reschedule the charter on another day. In the event that the charterer cannot reschedule, an in-house credit toward the Canceled vessel for future use will be given. Note that due to the nature of South Florida, Rain and overcast clouds do not constitute severe weather.

*Safety is our main priority, but only if the Captain and/or Vessel Owner deems it unsafe to Venture out shall it constitute as “Unsafe”.

“Unforeseen circumstances” (i.e. death in immediate family, hospitalization). Medical proof via certificate or doctor’s report is required.

In the event that the charterer chooses to cancel the charter, every effort will be made by ‘Yachting with Christos’ to reschedule the charter for a more convenient date pending availability.

If the charterer cancels within 24h of the initial reservation a refund can be made as long as the charter date is 7 days out.

However, If the Reservation is made on the same day as the Departure date and canceled the very same day, the deposit will not be refunded.

If the charterer cancels after the 24-hour booking period or up to 7 days before the departure date. The deposit will not be forfeited and ‘Yachting with Christos’ will make every effort to reschedule the charter for another date or an in-house credit toward the Canceled vessel for future use will be given.

However If the Charterer cancels within 7 days of the departure date, the deposit will be forfeited and credited to the Vessel Owner to cover the losses incurred due to the Vessel being out of booking circulation.

In the event the Vessel owner must cancel due to reasons beyond our control (e.g Mechanical), it is agreed that every effort will be made to reschedule the charter. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be made to the charterer.

No Refund or Rescheduling for ‘Day of’ Cancellations.

Please Inform ‘Yachting with Christos’ if the Vessel has functionality or hygiene issues before you leave the marina (Provide video and/or picture evidence for us to argue on your behalf. If informed after the charter has been completed, then ‘Yachting with Christos’ can not argue in your defense and should not be held responsible. Our goal is to make sure that ‘You’ the Charterer have a Wonderful Experience.

MECHANICAL ISSUES?

Very rarely does this occur, but due to consistent charters going out and vessels being run hard, the Yachts do sometimes have mechanical issues occur, no matter the make, model, and year of the vessel. It’s part of the business and in the luck of the draw, unfortunately.

If this does occur, a yacht transfer of similar style or better will try to be attained (based on availability)

If unable to, the deposit will be returned or rescheduling can take place.

PLEASE INFORM YOUR BROKER IF THE VESSEL HAS FUNCTIONALITY OR HYGIENE ISSUES BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE MARINA (PLEASE PROVIDE VIDEO AND / OR PICTURE EVIDENCE FOR US TO ARGUE ON YOUR BEHALF) IF THE BROKER GETS INFORMED AFTER THE CHARTER HAS BEEN COMPLETED. THEN THE BROKER CAN NOT ARGUE IN YOUR DEFENSE AND SHOULD NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE, THE GOAL IS TO MAKE SURE THAT ‘YOU’ THE CHARTERER HAVE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

We love animals and would feel terrible if they get seasick, so as a general rule no pets are allowed (There are some Exceptions at the Vessel owner’s discretion).

DO THEY COME WITH JET SKIS?

Jet skis are provided by a collaborating third party. They bring the skis over to the Vessel once anchored, a very easy procedure.

Once your vessel is secured we can then move forward with setting you up with your wave runners.

P.s: They usually range from 150 / h  to be brought over to your Yacht

(Most vessels have removed Jet skis from their vessels due to liability reasons, only a very few still include them)

* Per Florida Law, to drive a jet ski, anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, is required to either have completed a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) approved boating education course or have passed a course equivalency or temporary certificate examination and have in their possession a boating education ID (https://myfwc.com/boating/regulations)
